What to expect on your Ol Pejeta Conservancy day trip.
Ol Pejeta is another incredible experience worth including on your list of Kenya day tours.
Ol Pejeta combines fantastic wildlife viewing with exciting scenery, home the last two northern white rhino left on earth, the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and the only place in Kenya where you can see chimpanzees which are nursed back to good health.
You can also visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, and meet and touch ‘Baraka’ the blind black rhino, as you stop by the informative visitor center at Morani.
All of Africa’s Big Five are here (but don’t count on seeing leopard) the sightings of both black rhino and white rhino are common amongst the likes of buffalo, rhino, elephant, beisa oryx, reticulated giraffe and Grevy’s zebra.
Another highlight of Ol Pejeta Conervancy is that on a clear sky you can catch views of snow-capped Mt. Kenya and also mark the unique moment when we cross the Kenyan equator.

Day 1: Nairobi - Ol Pejeta Day Trip
Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy (Approximately 3-4 Hours) Tour meal plan: Breakfast stop on the way & Lunch. 0500hrs: Pick up from your Nairobi hotel/ Nairobi airport. The drive will be towards parts of Mount Kenya, Laikipia area which is via the agricultural zones of central Kenya. There shall be a stop at the Equator crossing. We will do mid-morning game viewing drives at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy with a visit to the Chimpanzee sanctuary. We’ll start off with the Chimpanzee Sanctuary before proceeding into the conservancy for some remarkable search of wild animals. What you could see on this game drive includes lions, elephants, giraffe, vervet monkey, baboon, hippo, impala, gazelle, dik-dik and zebra. At the rhino sanctuary, witness the different variety of endangered rhinos, Black Rhinos Northern white rhinos, and the Southern white rhinos. Later return to Nairobi with drop off at your Nairobi area hotel, or the Airport at approximately.6.30PM.
