Itinerary

  • Day 1: Nairobi – Tsavo East
Early morning departure from Nairobi to Tsavo East National Park with an approximate drive of 5-6 hours. On arrival have some lunch then proceed for our afternoon game drives through the park offering excellent game viewing and a lush counterpoint to the arid plains packed with wild animals. This is big savannah country and we’ll be looking for lions and the great elephants that populate these red-dust plains. We may visit Aruba Dam and Mudanda Rock to watch the elephants and lesser creatures gather for sustenance at these watering spots. Enjoy a thrilling view of the world's longest lava flow. Return to your Tsavo East safari lodge/ tented safari camp for dinner and retire for the night.
  • Day 2: Tsavo East – Tsavo West
Today our safari trip in Africa begins with an early rise with the birds, before sunrise and our early morning game drive will enable us enjoy views of the park and wildlife emerging in the dawning light. In this special atmosphere, we will observe the animals as they come into the new day. Breakfast follows and checkout at our Tsavo lodge or tented camp and then we’re off again the West part of Tsavo National Park, another game drive to discover buffalo, impala, eland and some of the park’s 500 species of birds, some of which we may encounter along the way. The short drive there will give us more opportunities to spot wildlife. The look and feel of this park is different – more color, more foliage and some very green surprises like Mzima Springs. The crystal waters feeding this haven and the palm shrouded banks impart the feeling of a lush oasis. We’ll look for hippo, crocodile, exotic fish and migratory birdlife. The park also is home to the Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, protecting at least 80 of these endangered animals. We’ll drive through and perhaps spot some of the magnificent rhinos. Return to your Tsavo safari lodge/ tented safari camp for dinner and overnight stay.
  • Day 3: Tsavo West National Park – Nairobi
This is our final day of this African safari and we’ll start off with an early wake up and head straight to the park. After a short morning safari drive in the field, let’s add more animal sightings to our list. Look for bush baby, hartebeest, impala, and scampering in the park’s many acacia trees – monkeys! You’ll return to the safari camp/lodge for breakfast then pack your personal items then enjoy lunch followed by an afternoon departure from the lodge/camp to Nairobi, drop off at your respective hotel bringing our African safari package to an end.
